An 8 bit inspired soun

At the beginning of my first year I began experimenting a bit with synthesizers. One of my modules, computer composition 1, looked in quite a lot of detail at different types of synthesis and I grew to become quite a fan of 8 bit music using synthesis on a very simple level. This particular piece is not 8 bit but it is that sound that inspired it, with the aim being something that could accompany an early video game.

I used cubase to create this track making use of the retrologue synthesizer that came with cubase 8.
